Masjid Ibrahim Community Programs

Below is the list of various programs within “Masjid Ibrahim” that are open to all individuals in the community regardless of religious belief.

 

Program #1:

  1. Name: Covid-19 Charity and Zakat Fund
  2. Mission: Help local needy, poor and Refugee families financially during Covid-19 pandemic and other crisis
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim already disbursed more than $30,000 USD to the Covid-19 affected families as Financial Aid. This includes paying rent, utility bills and other needs of the affected families. This program is open to all in the community regardless of religious belief  

 

Program #2:

  1. Name: Free Meals Delivery program
  2. Mission: Remove hunger and provide free Meals to the most vulnerable people in the community: the elderly, the poor and the needy Students
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim collaborated with “Oregon Food Bank”, “Meals on the Wheels”, “Beaverton School District Meals” programs and delivered food to feed more than 100 poor families and elderly individuals in the Community. This program is open to all in the community regardless of religious belief

 

Program #3:

  1. Name: Winter Cloth collection & distribution
  2. Mission: Keep the Needy, Poor and Refugee families warm during harsh Winter seasons
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim have been arranging Winter-cloth collection drives for the last several years. We collected warm “good-condition” clothes for all age-groups from the Community and distributed those clothes to the needy and refugee families. This program is open to all in the community regardless of religious belief 

 

Program #4:

  1. Name: American Red Cross Blood-drive 
  2. Mission: Arrange Blood-donation program in collaboration with American Red Cross and help save local lives
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim collaborated with American Red Cross to arrange Blood-Drive at the Masjid Ibrahim facility and encouraged Community members to donate blood. This initiative helped save many local lives

 

Program #5:

  1. Name: Arrange Tutoring services for Refugee students
  2. Mission: Assist Refugee students with Math, Science and Language courses
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim arranged tutoring services ‘free-of-cost’ to assist students from refugee families who were struggling with Math, Science and Language courses

 

Program #6:

  1. Name: Arrange Summer Camps for the youth
  2. Mission: Get the Youth in the community involved in constructive and creative activities and help them grow-up as responsible citizens of the society they live-in
  3. Description of functions: Every year Masjid Ibrahim arranges Summer Camps for the Youth in the community to train/teach social etiquettes and hands-on skills like Arts, Crafts, Calligraphy, Sports etc. This program is open to all in the community regardless of religious belief

 

Program #7:

  1. Name: Host lecture sessions on social/moral topics
  2. Mission: Work towards moral upliftment of the Community by hosting lecture-sessions by visiting scholars
  3. Description of functions: Every quarter Masjid Ibrahim hosts Community-wide lecture-sessions on moral and social topics by visiting scholars. Community members benefit immensely from these sessions and attain the much needed moral boost 

 

Program #8:

  1. Name: Host Monthly “Family Night” program; Yearly “Ramadan Dinner” event
  2. Mission: Arrange community-events to enhance social-bonding among all Community members
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim hosts Family Night on 1st Saturday of every month. Members from all walks of life in the community attend this monthly event and get the opportunity to mingle & strengthen social-bonds. Masjid Ibrahim also hosts annual Dinner event for the whole community during Ramadan

 

Program #9:

  1. Name: Marriage and Youth Counselling
  2. Mission: Help individuals cope with various marital and social challenges
  3. Description of functions: Imam of Masjid Ibrahim provides much needed marriage and other counselling services which is open to all community members free-of-cost. Parents and Community members find this service very beneficial given the various societal/personal challenges our youths and married-couples face on a daily basis    

 

Program #10:

  1. Name: Job counseling services to local community
  2. Mission: Help community members find jobs to sustain themselves and provide livelihood to their families
  3. Description of functions: Masjid Ibrahim and its members render job-counselling and other carrier-building services to the community at large. In collaboration with other non-profit organizations, career-workshops are arranged to help ‘would-be’ job seekers and refugee families. This program is open to all in the community regardless of religious belief
