Mission
The mission of Masjid Ibrahim is to serve the religious needs of the Muslim community residing
in the Northwest Portland area (popularly known as Bethany). We provide religious, social, and
educational services to enable the community to fulfill its religious responsibilities, improve in
its religious practices and create a future generation of Muslims who practice their religion based
on sound knowledge. We seek to create an environment that welcomes non-Muslims and foster
better understanding of Islam.

History
A few brothers started a small one room musallah back in 2010-2011, with 5-7 people attending
the daily programs. By the grace of Allah, we have come a long way. Masjid Ibrahim was
formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2013. Masjid Ibrahim Bethany to organize our
congregation and conduct our activities. We have strived to always have a resident Imam who
provides religions guidance to the Bethany community. The Board of Directors works closely
with the Imam to serve the needs of the community.

Structure
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that currently operates with 8 board of directors who
are permanent members of the board. The board of directors has designated committees to
manage the day-to-day masjid operations.
